...Another brilliant joint training session, with the addition of Sevenoaks RFC!
Following on from the success of our first session which was hosted by Swanley at the beginning of February; last Sunday saw our youth team travel over to Westcombe Park to return the favour and hold a joint youth training session! This time we had the added benefit of being joined by Sevenoaks RFC, so there were plenty of new faces and lots of happy, muddy kids!
Due to the fantastic turnout we ran sessions for U6's + U7's, U8's and U10's, where the kids were able to practice basic handling drills, with the inclusion of touch rugby for the younger groups, and also the introduction of full contact for the older children!
We understand some of the children aren't particularly fond of wearing their gumshields during these sessions, but well done to all those parents that refused to budge. The safety of the children is of paramount importance to us all.
Training will continue as usual until we are able to organise an away session at Sevenoaks RFC, where hopefully we will have even more numbers and continue to grow these joint events.
As always a HUGE thank you to Coach Steve, Coach Dave, and Paula for making these event happen and being there week in and week out! We truly would be lost without the three of you!
